Everybody here at SwarfRat Studios loves motorcycles, especially Vintage bikes.

So, one of the projects closest to our hearts is our Restoration Video Series, wherein we plan on sharing some of what we've learned over the decades regarding restoring and maintaining our old friends.

We've already released our DVD, "Toolmaking & Restoration" as a

'prequel,' so to speak, for our series.

Vintage bikes, by their very nature, are hard to get parts for, and special factory tooling for repair or maintenance is almost impossible to find.  We'll show you some techniques for utilizing the power of your mini machine shop to make those tools, so you can keep your favorite steeds ticking over like the fine machines they are.

(And yes, I know that was a mixed metaphor.)

Below is a low-resolution clip from "Toolmaking & Restoration" demonstrating mini-shop-made tools being used to disassemble an engine.  The bike is a 1968 Harley Davidson 250 Sprint (actually made by Aermacchi in Italy!)

We'll be working on this series as time permits - - our first priority is making our instructional series for the new machinist, after all - - but we are making progress on it!  Stay tuned...
